Build guide

Open a build from the library and inspect its 3D preview. Select Start building to begin the guide. Use Next and Previous, drag the step slider, or enter a step and select Go. First returns to the first available step; Final shows the last available step.

How do I move the camera?

Drag the model to orbit. Scroll or pinch to zoom. On a touch screen, use two fingers to move the view. The guide controls remain outside the model so you can advance without moving the camera.

Which keyboard shortcuts work?

Use Right arrow, Page Down, or Space for the next step. Use Left arrow or Page Up for the previous step. These shortcuts do not advance the guide while you are editing a text field or using another control.

Does every guide start with an empty site?

No. Recovered builds can start at an intermediate stage, and an available final step does not establish a complete original design. Check the build’s source and stage information before gathering materials. Labs explains the evidence used to qualify the catalogue.

Materials

Open Materials for the build’s block list. Check a material when you have gathered it. Use Download list to keep a copy. The current-step list shows the blocks used at the selected step.

Where are my checks saved?

Material checks stay in this browser for this build. They do not sync through your account or phone remote. Clearing site data removes them. Counts describe the recovered model and can differ from an original stage schematic or source instructions.

Styles

Open Styles in a loaded guide. The Style selector contains Original, Local style, and your named account styles. To replace a material throughout the guide, choose Replace material and With, then select Replace. The model and material list update together.

How do I edit individual blocks?

Select Edit blocks. Choose Select, Place, Change, Delete, or Rotate above the model, then click or tap the model. Choose a Block and its available properties for placement or replacement. You can also enter X, Y, and Z and use the action button. Select Done to return to the guide.

How do edits affect the build steps?

Changes and removals to source blocks follow their existing stages. Newly placed blocks appear in custom guide steps after the original final step. Undo and Redo move through the selected style’s changes. Reset to original clears that style’s edits. Each style keeps its own step progress.

How do I save and branch named styles?

Log in, select New style, enter a Name, choose an Icon, and select Save. Branch makes a separate copy of the selected style. Use Rename to change its name or icon, and Delete to remove an account style. You can keep up to 12 named styles per build. Find them again in My styles.

Where are styles saved?

A local style stays in this browser. Named styles are private to your account and save there; check the save status before closing the page. Offline account drafts remain in this browser until saving succeeds. If another device has changed a style, Reload account style uses that account version, while Save as copy preserves your draft separately. Use Retry save after a connection error. Your original source build is never overwritten.

What does Biome change?

Biome changes the preview’s grass, foliage, and water tint where supported. It is part of the selected style. It does not change a Minecraft world or establish how a machine works in game.

How do I move a style to another browser?

Open Style code and select Export code. Copy the code, open the same build in the other browser, paste it into the style-code field, and select Import code. The code carries material replacements, block edits, removals, and biome choice. A code for a different build or changed source is rejected. Named styles can also be opened by logging in to the same account.

Do style changes alter the original download?

No. Original schematic downloads retain their source blocks. Style codes transfer your guide changes; they are not edited schematic downloads. Replacing, placing, or removing blocks does not prove that a machine still works or that a replacement behaves the same way in Minecraft.

Texture packs

Open Texture pack and select a Java resource-pack ZIP. You can also open Use a folder and select an extracted pack folder. The pack must contain pack.mcmeta and vanilla block PNG textures. Select Reset to restore default textures.

What is supported?

Vanilla Java block PNGs are supported. Bedrock packs, custom block models, shaders, and modded texture namespaces are not imported. ZIPs and folders are limited to 128 MiB. Encrypted ZIPs and ZIP64 archives are unsupported; extract a ZIP64 pack and select its folder.

Does importing a pack upload it?

No. The browser reads the selected files on your device. A successful import is saved in this browser when storage is available. If storage is blocked, it applies only to the current page. Importing a pack changes textures without resetting the build step.

Phone remote

On the guide, select Connect phone remote. Scan the QR code with your phone, or open the pairing link on that phone. Keep the guide open while the phone controls its steps. Select Disconnect remote on the guide to end the session.

Why will my phone not connect?

Both devices need network access to the same MineModo site and its live connection service. A localhost address only works on the computer serving it. Pairing codes expire after ten minutes, and remote sessions expire after two hours. Create a new session when needed. Keep the pairing link private.

Downloads and source builds

Schematic downloads are shown when available. A preview schematic represents the recovered preview. An original stage schematic can contain staging blocks or a different palette. Follow the source link for the author’s instructions, version requirements, and permissions.

Will the schematic work in my game?

Browser rendering, a successful schematic reader, and placement in Minecraft are separate checks. Select a compatible edition, game version, importer, and required mods. Create machines can require assembly, settings, power, or other operating details that the block guide does not establish. Keep a backup of your world before importing.

Your data

When signed in, progress for Original and each named style is saved separately to your account. Local styles and their progress, material checks, and imported texture packs stay in the browser. A phone remote controls the active guide; it does not copy your local pack to the phone.
